Awesome spot right off the road.
The La Ventana Arch seems so unbelievable until you see the sun shining from above into the backside of it...My dog and I opted out of the trail walk, when I spotted fresh bear cub poop and heard a larger branch break with the sound of the bushes...there was no other vehicles out there at the time, just a camper that pulled in right before me, I never saw them get out...Then the drive back a fat rattlesnake stretched out across the road, I strattled it with my tires and it coiled up for the truck that was behind me...lolol I... read more
We have been making this a stop for 8 years now. We come through once or twice a year and have made it a photo moment to capture my son growing up. He started coming when he was 1.5 yrs and is now 4.5 year. It's a gorgeous little hike and has a great picnic area.
