What a surprise! Not many lodging options in Ajo. Booked 1 night in one of the cabins( this 'motel has room, cabins and RV space). It was clean and owner came over to deliver pool towels (yes it has a pool that is spotless.) Current owner is working hard to upgrade this rather old motel and is doing a great job. OK..the best part is his landscaping. He's created a Eden like setting with outdoor seating and an barbecue. Cabins may be small but outdoor seating adds lots of space. Owner is friendly and personable.
Ajo Arizona doesn't leave a lot of options for an over night stay, but surprisingly there is one place that you'll want to come back to. La Siesta is a clean facility with friendly owners and a home-like atmosphere. The facilities are always clean, and it's a nice place to get away if your camping.
