This was an unexpected treasure in an unlikely location. The staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds were so cute, and the room was picture perfect. You could see that a lot of care and attention to details went into renovating this little jewel. We loved it!
Wow! This place is the best place to stay in all of Tucson, AZ. The staff was super friendly, caring, and genuine. The owner of the motel went out of his way to make sure all his guest were taken care of, and we were. The room I stayed in was so chic with it's room filled with retro character that you can't find anywhere else. This room had it's original tile in the bath that was restored giving it a fresh look. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff gave me a heartfelt welcome when I arrived. Imagine my surprise to find they had someone fluent in American Sign Language and a VideoPhone too! I like the fact that they recycle, and their saltwater pool was great! The motel had a retro feel to it...very neat place! My family is coming to Tucson this summer, and they're staying at La Siesta too!
Staying at La Siesta was like taking a trip back in time. The staff are super-friendly (positive energy) and made me feel like a part of their family. The saltwater pool was a big plus too! The rooms had been recently renovated back to the original 1940's decor, and were clean and comfortable. Sitting outside in the ramada watching the sunset past the mountains has left a beautiful image in my mind. I'm DEFINITELY going back to La Siesta next time I need to stay in the downtown area!!!
