Great cajun food. Gumbo was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Experienced the Food truck recently. Leaving a low rating and review isn’t something we do lightly. Although the staff were friendly, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The pork po boy was skimpy with only 2 narrow strips of pork. The crab and shrimp cake po boy was so fried that my husband couldn’t tell what he was eating.
WOW - everything is made fresh and the owner was incredibly friendly, answered all my questions, and clearly is so passionate about the food that they're making. I ordered the crab cake slider and the crunch was UNBELIEVABLE. The mild sauce was perfect and the slaw was crunchy and delicious. I appreciate an artisan of their craft and LaRue Bayou is it: excited to try every po-boy on their menu and the gumbo next time!
The food is great and they actually use spices, which most places in Boulder are apparently too afraid to use.
