La Posada (1930) is the masterpiece of architect Mary Colter, hotelier Fred Harvey and the Santa Fe Railway. This was the last great railway hotel built in America, and the finest historic hotel on Route 66. National Landmark building and gardens, famous art collection, and one of the best restaurants (The Turquoise Room) in the southwest.

Get directionsWe stayed at La Posada about 6 years ago . The buildiding was not complete with the renovations we loved the feel of the hotel . I would like to have a return visit. I plan to travel back to LA on the train , would it be possible to stay 2 nights and rejoin the train. Regards Kenlynn Verbeek
we stayed at this hotel upon recommendation of the Rte 66 travel guide. It took us a bit of searching to find it, but it was well worth the hunt. It was very interesting to see the history of the building and just wander through this amazing hotel. The room was charming and very clean. The restaurant divine (and I'm quite particular about my food being in the business). We're planning on going back.
