Stayed here for the 4th of July. The cabin itself (bunkhouse 3) was perfect for a 2 night stay. There was a small kitchen with all the pots, pans, utensils, etc that you would need. It was clean and had its own porch and a spot to park directly in front of the cabin. Everyone we spoke to was polite and friendly. Now obviously I know this was a holiday weekend which could definitely ensure an increase in the party atmosphere, but it was very loud our whole time here. I had an amazing stay at the cabins in La Porte. I’ve stayed in both Bunkhouse #1 and #2, and each one was clean, comfortable, and full of mountain charm. The town is peaceful, and everyone is so friendly. There’s a great bar next door that serves food and a small general store nearby for essentials. The owner is very helpful, and with Starlink internet now available, it’s easy to stay connected or work remotely. I highly recommend these cabins to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful small mountain town.

Rented the Bunkhouse cabin (4). Never received check in procedure or door code, luckily LaPorte general store allowed us to use their phone. Website states there is AC, there is not. Website states there is wifi, No wifi, No cable TV, no satellite, no phone. Nights are very load considering the bar is next door. Cut our trip short by 1 day and night.
