Slow Service – You can not be confident that you are going to have good service. We had given our order to our waiter, and people around us had already ordered, received their order, eaten and left. We were still waiting when the waiter checked on us two times to say the food would be coming. After one hour, the waiter explained that one of the cooks had fallen in the kitchen and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Still a favorite – Lafayette is my hometown and I would always beg to go there and I still insist on going there when I return. The past few times the pizza has been 50/50. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it is lacking cheese which was always the best part about it for me. The service is also 50/50 chance but usually slow. I would recommend it but be prepared to take time to enjoy that delicious food.

Great food terrible service – La Pizzeria has long been a favorite of mine. I used to eat there weekly; however this has changed due to the lack of management. The service is poor at best. The food is still great in my opinion, but if you decide to go be prepared to be extremely frustrated by long waits and poor customer service.

Becoming a Disappointment... – I'm sorry to report that my last visit to La Pizzeria was quite a disappointment. This used to be one of my favorite spots in town and a must stop when I was back home. My last visit (4 Sep 06) left a bad taste in my mouth, and not entirely because of the food. The service was quite horrendous (and it takes a lot for me to say this). You will love this place! – La Pizzeria is definately one of the best pizza places in town! Salads are huge and always look fresh; although they do tend to be a bit heavy handed with the salad dressing at times. The pizzas are just fabulous with crisp crusts and just the right amount of toppings and cheese. Favorites are the Athena and the Shrimp Au Gratin but they also have special pizzas each month that are awesome too. you have got to try this place – great salads, esp. the chicken pesto pasts salad it has penne pasta w/ a pesto/czr dressing, on top of a czr salad w/ grilled ckn breast, black olives yum all of the salads come w/ a roasted garlic and caramalized onion pizza my favorite pizza here is the shrimp au gratin lots of mozz/prov cheese, shrimp, mushrooms, and green onions the desserts are to die for pralines and cream cake, banana split cake
