La Mirage is full of older apartments with small backyards. A descent place to live for a single bachelor or small family. Unfortunately, cops do patrol here alot. However I think crime has gone down in recent years. In addition, if your kids are older and go to school, the apartment complex is located next to a middle school, and high school. The apartment is also close by a skate park, baseball ⚾️ field, and Leroy Jackson Park. LA mirage is not a place you would want to retire, but a good starting apartment.

Clean, nice neighbors, great location.
Management has been very welcoming. Nice place to live, close to China Lake, great for anyone who needs workforce housing. They offered me lots of flexibility between options of short and long term leases. The price is also great. Happy I found this apartment and hope to stay here long term.
