Seeker The best home style Italian cooking I/ve had. We travel all over the nation for good food but this one is right in our back yard. We've taken friends there who also rave about it. Good service, good prices and great flavors.
big Al On Friday the 4th of june My wife, daughter, and I ate here for the first time. This is the finest Italian restaurant I've eaten at in years. Dawn the waitress and the other staff were especially friendly, warm and curtiuos. The food was out this world. the Chicken Marsala was wonderful, and the chicken Parm. was fantastic. This place is the real thing. Anybody that goes to the Olive Garden is eating fast food.
Outstanding Food I live across the state line in Virginia but my husband & I occasionally make the drive over to this restaurant. The food is so good, every bit as good as you'd get in an expensive DC restaurant. The atmosphere is, um, unpretentious. Mezzaluna is located in a strip mall and is pleasantly decorated but not fancy at all. The location I guess helps keep their costs down, and the menu prices are very reasonable. Best italian food by far in the tri-state region!! I love going to the Mezza Luna. I am from the Baltimore area but it worth the drive. The salad and garlic bread knots are delicious and its a good thing they are bottomless! The dinners are large portions and there is always plenty left over to take home. Quality Italian Food in an Unlikely Place Who'da thought that, in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, you can find excellent Italian food by a chef named Jose. La Mezza Luna, in Somerset Mall on the east side of Charles Town, is run by a family that has been in the restaurant business all their lives.
Small and lacking atmosphere, but food is great! La Mezzaluna is a small Italian restaurant located in a strip mall (Somerset Village) but food is consistenly good and prices are reasonable. We especially liked it when we could bring our own bottle of wine :-)), but they no longer allow it. They do serve an excellent Chianti, so not all is lost!
