I chose La Mesa Auto Care because they were a member of the BBB and had been in La Mesa since 1986. What I found was that I was misled as to the cost for repairs and then charged more for a used part then I would have been charged to buy the new one. I was quoted an estimate of $600, called my husband for agreement on spending it, then when I told La Mesa Auto Care to go ahead and do the work the owner said he was mistaken about the cost of the parts and that it would be $800, but that he might be able to get the $300 fuel e... read more
