Great Spanish This place has great Spanish tapas food. This place has great paellas which is composed of sausage, rice, chicken, and seafood cooked in a large dish.

wish I can rate this "no star" – for all you dumb dumbs out there, this is NOT food from valencia. this will probably pass for glorified baja fresh menu, but it ain't anything close of being catalonia or valencia. take it from me who has been to real authentic spanish restaurants in new york city, la luna negra is a big joke. we found none of the tapas to be special. and it seems the valentine's menu was limited compared to the menu we found on their website. we ordered paella de oceano, and was asked by the waiter if we wan... read more

Horrible place with nasty food. – Horrible place. I agree with ALL negative reviews ! We had a medium group of people sharing almost everything from the menu - not a single decent dish or tapas ! I am just surprised what skill does it take/requires to spoil EVERY dish. I am no food expert but in my opinion what we were presented with has no Spanish "even hint in it" - just plane boring nasty horrible food. NO NO for me and my friends - to bad it really could have been a nice place with all the interior decoration and locatio... read more

This place is awful! – Like another reviewer said, I was also astounded to see this place receive so many great reviews. If you're looking for good food and authentic flamenco dancing, this place is not it. Perhaps it's a good place to hang out with friends/good company if you don't care so much about the food. We on the other hand were hoping for some decent tapas and sangria.I've never had sangria with white wine (I've had my own white wine cooler, but I think sangria was meant to be made with red wine)--it burned down my ... read more

Happy Birthday to me – Birthday blues had gotten me down. Lucky for me, my friends knew just how to lift my spirits ? they surprised me with an outing to La Luna Negra. What a cute, cozy, fun place! We couldn?t stop admiring the decor, the colorful walls, the gorgeous table settings and the general atmosphere of the place. Then came the food... OMG!!! we wished it would not stop coming. Yum, yum! The hostess was very charming and humorous as well and our server was wonderful. Our mini vacation to Spain was complete once the ... read more

Stay away! – I am astounded that this place has received so many positive reviews. Our experience there last night was miserable. The food is the least tasty, least authentic Spanish food I have eaten anywhere. Drive into the city and go to Cobras and Matadors or Tasca if you have a tapas fix; or just make some at home with recipes you find online. Seriously, your homemade creations will be way better than Luna Negra's. They manage to absolutely butcher even a simple, classic dish like patatas bravas, by dicing the potatoes ... read more

Perfect after a long day of shopping! – After a long day of shopping in old town i began to feel the effects and my wife and I decided that we would need a good meal in a good restaurant to top off our day. After passing a number of cookie cutter restaurants we stumbled on La Luna Negra, we decided to take a chance and try this small spanish restaurant, and I am glad that we did, off the beaten path of Colorado La Luna Negra is nestled on green street. THe bright colors of the restaurant and the hyptnotic sound of flamenco g... read more

Delicious and fun – All of you out there who enjoy dining out with a group of friends know how difficult it can be to have everyone agree on a restaurant. On Friday night, my own group of buddies (seven of them) gave me the tricky task of deciding where we would go. After giving it much thought, but based mainly on a couple of good experiences, I opted for La Luna Negra in Pasadena. Well, the pressure lifted the minute we walked in. The colors, the energy, the aromas wafting from the kitchen. The food (best enjoyed when shar... read more

Great food, live entertainment, lively atmosphere, cute place! – My husband and I didn't even know this place existed until my brother and his friend showed us. What a cute place! There were live spanish dancers dancing on a stage in front of us, the food was soo good. For a small eater like me, one tapas order was enough. I can't remember the names of the dishes, but the two dishes I had were excellent - one was lamb and couscous, the other was a pork spare rib plate. I also tasted tapas from the others around me and all we... read more
