If you want to be treated as an eating disorder, and not a full person despite your illness— I’d totally recommend La Luna! I went for 4 days and felt very disrespected. I got a lot of instances of “yes, I hear you”, for those words to immediately be disregarded. When I expressed this concern, I was told that they just didn’t know me and had to assume everything I said was the eating disorder talking. This whole experience has been excellent. Everyone at LaLuna has treated me with such dignity and grace. They have a plan and a strategy and have set me up for success. I have hope of fully recovering and would 100% recommend their services! It is hard work and they have created a safe, empathetic and super knowledgeable space to find freedom. I’m forever grateful!!
DO NOT GO HERE - This place doesn't even deserve the one star! I don't even know where to begin... This place is dangerous for people with eating disorders because of the way they treat you and go about doing things here. I went for ONE day and it was the most awful and traumatizing experience. Coming from someone with a very severe eating disorder, this is NOT the way to go about treating your disorder. They expect you to go from 0 to 100 within the first day of being there.
