My girlfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. It was the first time either of us experienced real gourmet Italian food. It was a wonderful experience. Food was very delicious and the service was very professional and accommodating. It really made our night special. The Lasagna was out of this world.

After looking at many restaurants to celebrate Valentines Day I chose La Grotta Ravinia and booked with open table. We arrived and were seated at our reserved time, but were never greeted. The manager finally came over and apologized. I asked why they weren't serving their regular menu? He said because it was Valentines weekend so they had a fixed price menu. Very swanky Italian restaurant inside of the hotel. Recommended for date night or any special occasion. Pricey, but worth it for great food and service.
The service was so bad I did not leave a tip. The good was the only thing keeping it from being a 1 star. It's not great Italian but it was good, I don't think this is a place I will return to though. I could recommend this if you are staying at the hotel but don't expect to be anywhere else at a particular time.
