I'm sad to leave this review. The meal was lovely and delicious; excellent food. The service was prompt and efficient. The sad part is that we mistakenly forgot our credit card and left it in the bill folder they bring to the table. It was 3 days until we noticed it was gone. Obviously, we then immediately jumped online to cancel the card. Our original bill that we paid that night was $120 including (a generous) tip. Best fondue restaurant in the US!
As a European, I just had to have melted cheese after skiing, and I am very happy I found La fondue! The dishes are authentic and very tasty. We were definitely full after the Alpine fondue and a shared chocolate fondue. A wonderful place for a hearty meal!
We are experienced fondue eaters. We make it at home several times a year and have eaten fondue out at a national chain multiple times. This was our first experience eating fondue out at a non-franchised restaurant. We were the only people in the restaurant when we visited and we chose the most expensive combination which included salad, appetizer, entree and desert. The cost was ~$100 for two people.
