When I developed severe vertigo I asked the manager at LA Fitness for a copy of my contract because I couldn't work out anymore. He refused to give it to me. Very disappointing. I toured the facility but unfortunately did not tour locker rooms. That was my mistake. They are filthy. Pool tiles feel slimy. The workers are there but are not trying hard in the cleaning department. The members are slobs. I have canceled new membership and am out approximately $175. Would not recommend.
Steady Decline at LA Fitness Renton I’ve been a member at LA Fitness Renton for nearly five years, and it’s frustrating to see how much the quality has steadily declined. Just experienced discrimination at LA Fitness in Ridge Hill Yonkers, NY. I went to use the pool, and all lanes was taken except for one. I decided to share a lane with a customer. The customer, Karen, was very irate and complained to the lifeguard that she did not want me to use the same lane as her. My husband overheard her, calling me stupid. Negligence, Health Risks & Zero Accountability — Extremely Disappointed. I was a member of LA Fitness at 1970 Eglinton Ave East, Toronto, and this is my honest review of how poorly I was treated. LA Fitness Is a Total Scam – Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. Over a year ago, I signed up for an LA Fitness membership and personal training under the impression that I could cancel anytime. What they conveniently failed to mention was that the personal training contract was locked in for a full year at $200 a month—no way out. Fine. Management and workers do a great job keeping the gym clean and making sure members follow the rules. The manager takes his job seriously and doesn't take any crap from the members who are breaking the rules. The classes, if you partake, are very good! Roger
