Cancellation policies violate the law and even the contract you sign, which says you can cancel your membership by phone. When you try to do so, they tell you have to speak to a specfic person who's only in at certain odd hours. Currently the FTC is taking legal action against LA Fitness for this practice, and it has also happened to me when dealing with them.
Having attended Premier Fitness in 2012 and then continuing at same location when it turned into LA Fitness I've been a member of this gym for 14 yrs. This is the worst management I've ever seen. The place is incredibly dirty. The worst class schedule. Unfairness with the machines where someone can get off a machine and "stretch" forever while others are waiting for the machine. Ridiculous. Shoneika and Ana are totally incompetent managers. Shoneika is incredibly rude.
This facility is ran by an incompetent Management. This facility is dirty. Do not dare to swim in the pool, as you will encounter all kind of debris and trash in the pool. The water is so dirty that you can not see anything in the pool. The locker room, showers, and Steam room are filthy, there are hairs and bandages in the shower room. In my opinion, the problem is the management and I emphasize, stay away from pool or risk getting sick with all kind of viruses and debris.
The doctor made me start working out at a gym. Yuck! I did not want to; I like to be outdoors, running, walking, bike riding. But Kyra Franz, Operations Manager, and Chris Quintanan, Membership Manager have totally changed my mind, heart, and muscles about gyms. :) Not of the techy gen, they helped me get the membership on my phone. I’ve been a member of LA Fitness for a while, but my recent experience at the Brick location left me seriously disappointed—specifically because of how the manager, Rodney, handled a simple situation. I accidentally dropped my car keys (which also have my house keys) inside one of the StairMaster machines. I went to the front desk for help. If I could give zero stars, I would. Not LA Fitness Orange Park itself, well, it's not 100.% either. Not sure how they are actually handling this yet. My husband had us both join, and I have yet to be able to come, but they set him up with a personal trainer there (LAUREN O.). From the moment she started training him, she continued to ask about our marriage and repeatedly asked him to take her out because she's new in town and he's "Hot."
