Love it
Warm, uncrowded pool--yay! Hair on the shower floor; mildew on the shower curtain; sinks with low water flow, slow drainage, and bizarrely installed mirrors that make the faucets barely operable; and, worst of all, the slipperiest tile floor between the locker room and the pool of any facility I have ever visited. I use this facility only when the wonderful Greater Whittier Regional Aquatics Center is closed for some reason, as it was today for Farmworkers' Day.
After giving the gym 5 stars, I now have to decrease it to 2 due to a recent experience with VP Edward or Ed in member services. In the beginning I was told if I pay $140 I will have access to all private studios all across the gym, I asked and confirmed if this includes HIIT class in Norwalk and was told yes. The gym in Pico Rivera is the dirtiest gym I've ever visited. Their staff is unfriendly and rude at times. Alex, the sales manager is one that is quite rude . The emergency exits are blocked many times with heavy weights or people working out in front of it. The only good thing about that gym is the awesome class instructors, especially Betty, who teaches the Saturday aqua aerobics class!
HIGHLY recommend this location. I'm a truck driver and the lot had plenty of parking for my truck (had no trailer, thankfully). Alex, up front, was very welcoming and a great help. I would have a membership, myself, if I was in the area, regularly, but I'm all over the country because of work. Great equipment, polite atmosphere, and it has a sauna and showers!
