A well-loved Chicago institution, La Creperie continues to serve great crepes and very good French onion soup. Their wine selection is excellent, and the outdoor patio is quite charming. Be sure to make reservations though, especially on the weekends.
From the outside, this place doesn’t scream anything special, but it ended up feeling like such a hidden gem. We stopped in before a movie and it was busy in the best way—lively, a little noisy, just a good energy overall. It honestly felt more like being in a cozy spot in France than Chicago.
