Nice cozy restaurant. Coffee was amazing!
This place was empty when we went and I now know why. 1) mango tamal didn't have anything inside except for the masa and just had some canned syrup on top. Not even small mango pieces in the pictures. 2) tostones were stale and had a strong citric acid flavor from the use of garlic from a jar 3) soup was overly salty 4) chicken tamal was stale and that too had a strong garlic in a jar taste of citric acid 5) rice was stale, stiff, and crumbly
Perfect chilequiles and cinnamon coffee - this is a perfect warm and spicy brunch for a cold Chicago day!
Amazing food and amazing hospitality. Would highly recommend folks!!
