My daughter and I were talking about dying my hair just before our trip to Baltimore Maryland. I had purchased a hair dying kit to do it myself as usual.However my daughter said “not this time Mom , I have another idea!” She then took me to La Carmen Salon. My hair was shampooed and conditioned and dyed a lovely shade of brown that looked very natural! My hair is short so I was surprised at the fee that I was charged. I was in the area and needed a quick wash. I was quoted $10. I added a blow dry, because I figured 10 was reasonable so the blow dry couldn’t be too much more. My mistake. After she finished, we went to the register and I asked how much I owed. I was told $45.00. Considering she didn’t style my hair, that’s a ridiculous amount for a blow dry.
Old school salon. Very professional regarding the cost of your service ahead of time. It took me a long time to find a hair professional who actually knew how to cut layers on long hair. Carmen is a veteran hair professional.
