Sagamore, DO BETTER! Finally decided to check out La BellaVita on my Birthday today, ONE & DONE! Aside from the view of my Beautiful Lake George, the restaurant is complete trash. For the name and the money spent, one would think food would be fresh. Food ordered today was dry, flavorless, and veggies dark, potatoes hard. It took us about 75 minutes to be served. Fish fry and french fries were burnt. They were out of stock on preferred beverage. Waitress was inattentive and rushed
Party of 6 on a Friday night. Everything was delicious. The family enjoyed the calamari which was called "spicy" but wasn't unless you ate one of the spicy peppers, which we were happy about. Penne vodka had great flavor, huge portion, and had plenty of pancetta and peas. Everyone enjoyed their meal—pizzas and eggplant parms. Service was friendly and got everything right. Kitchen was a little slow but we all like each other and had nowhere to be so we didn't mind and it was worth the wait!
The fried calamari and tartufo mushroom brick oven pizza was excellent.
The atmosphere and our server Libby were excellent. The food - not so much. Both of our meals were disappointing, to say the least. Both the chicken parm AND the eggplant parm were so overcooked it was difficult to even eat half our meals. It was after 8pm - maybe the kitchen staff just wanted to go home early.
