I had a service call last Christmas. I needed a new wall thermostat. The serviceman hooked it up in 15 minutes, connecting 6 wires. They billed over $350.00. This was Wayyyy overpriced. This was a non-complicated unit. It was no different than units I had installed at other houses and offices over the last 30 years.
