Avoid this shop at all costs. They charge outrageous fees without doing the work promised and make it extremely difficult to get your vehicle back once it’s in their possession. My experience was stressful and frustrating from start to finish. David was unprofessional, dismissive, and provided some of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for honest or reliable auto repair services.
DO NOT GO HERE, had to call cops to get my car back Absolutely terrible experience. My car was towed and I was forced to pay $410 just to get it released. Even after payment, they still delayed returning my vehicle. Dave and the staff handled the situation very unprofessionally and showed no respect during the process. I was left standing outside in the rain with my 15-month-old child while waiting for police to arrive. Completely unacceptable experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
DO NOT trust Monro’s recommendations, and STAY AWAY from L & M Shop. Monro transferred my car to L & M with my permission, but completely omitted the fact that L & M hits you with a surprise $500 fee just to look at the car and price-gouges at $4,000 for a front shaft. When I questioned the hidden fees, L & M acted like total pricks and kicked me and my young son out into the pouring rain. Shady, hostile, and completely unprofessional behavior from both places. They completely took advantage of my trust.
Monroe Tire (Phillips) and L & M Shop are running an absolute racket. Monroe transferred my car over to L & M, who then blindsided me with a ridiculous $500 charge just to look at the vehicle—zero warning beforehand. When I called them out on their shady tactics, L & M got incredibly hostile and threw me out. I was forced to stand in a rainstorm with my young child because these cowards refused to explain their garbage charges. Monroe should be ashamed for sending customers to such a trash establishment. These people are scams and rip offs and operating a very sketchy business. First of all communication is very hard, the owner Dave is the one who answers all calls and doesn’t take the time to listen and is always quick to hang up. Secondly, they will say they do the work the vehicle needs but they don’t actually. I was misfiring badly and took it here, I have 6 cylinders and the v6 that I have is a difficult setup than others, you had to take out a lot of things to get to the back where the other 3 cylinders are and they on... read more
