Misunderstanding about Kyoto Hey Cecil I know how you felt but at least Kyoto served food that you wanted even if they changed the menu. Lets say you go to other restaurants like "Chilli". do you think you can order any food from the menu which has already been dropped from the list? I don't think so. Kyoto Sucks Kyoto of Decatur, Al has changed it's menu and the shrimp appetizer no longer comes with the vegetable meal per the owner (NO MORE SUBSTITUTIONS). I do not recommend Kyoto the service sucks, the owner is rude and the place is not clean. Go to Huntsville.
Great food at even better prices. Although we sometimes go to the Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Huntsville, Kyoto is much closer for us, and their prices are slightly less. The ambiance isn't quite the same (it is in a strip mall), and it is a lot smaller, but personally I like the food much better. The rice has more of a spicy flavor, and they also give you this prawn appetizer with a yolk type sauce with your dinner. Very yummy. The portions are large, and it is a family favorite.
