Howard Lipman is temperamental and on occasion berates and humiliates students publicly. This makes it unconducive and unsafe for children to learn martial arts. Look at the pictures below. Do you think this is safe for 8 year old children? My son was badly bruised during a sparring session coached by him. This club treats students like temple disciples, not as fee paying customers. Services advertised are not provided and they over charge. I do not recommend enrolling your children here.

Alright, I won't go through details of how well the staff work with children at this Dojo. Neither will I try to explain the difference between martial arts and other sports, go ahead and read the Internet on what makes the Karate. But what I will highlight in my review is the fact that my 9yo son repeats the moves and punches, stances and kicks at home all the time. He is engaged. He is dedicated. He likes the lessons. My father has dedicated his life passionately to teaching Kyokushin Kai Karate from children to adults holding Mas Oyamas traditions and practices to heart, My father was refered to as "My Son" by Mas Oyama himself... The founder of Kyokushin Karate... I am not a Karate man but I have seen my father teach thousands of classes with the highest respect, care and love for his students and his team of black belts...
