I'm sorry to say I've never encountered a less insightful or less professional therapist. Dr. Kushner is a self-styled guru- a man who wants his patients to emulate his life, instead of offering meaningful help to lead their own. So if you're already a wealthy baby boomer looking for somebody to pretend to empathize- he's your man. In my time with Dr. Musher, I learned he loves Audi's, VW Bugs, and for some reason, hates Dr. Dan Gottlieb, the paraplegic host of "Voices int he Family." Were the restrooms clean at this provider's office? Yes, I could tell they were cleaned regularly Is this provider willing to pursue advice from other providers when necessary? Absolutely! They aren't arrogant at all and are more than willing to pursue advice when necessary Was this provider late to your appointments? Was this provider's office too cold? No, it was fine Did this psychologist answer all your questions? None of my questions were answered Were you able to get answers to simple questions from this provider without scheduling an appointment? Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything! Did this provider have an entertaining selection of waiting room magazines? Are you going to visit this provider again? Sure Did you spend a lot of time in the waiting room at this psychologist's office? No, my appointment started at the scheduled time Was this provider's office too cold? No, it was fine Does this provider leave you on hold for a long time when you call? No, they are really great about answering the phone right away Did you feel like this provider's office was understaffed? No, they were fully staffed

Im angry at myself for not following the first review. Kushner was rec. to me by someone who never met him but heard positive things. He was...in no particular order....RUDE, argumentative, snarky, dismissive, condescending. He couldn't even be bothered with a simple..."hello, I am Dr. Kushner." He only could wave us in to his office like cattle with a "COME ON COME ON' attitude. Save your money. Go ANYWHERE but to this person who needs serious lessons in social skills and professionalism.

If you want someone to commiserate with, or are looking for snappy, sarcastic comments and suggestions, than Dr. Kushner is probably an excellent choice for you. If, however, you're searching for a therapist with genuine empathy, and a sincere desire to help people, you'd do far better looking elsewhere. Dr. Kushner's style is more akin to a talk-show format than any serious discussion.
