Incredibly tasty food with a great ambiance. The shrimp dish is personally one of the tastiest dishes I've had in recent memory. Chef Saba was amazing to talk to and it was nice to see a her make the extra effort to be out on the floor checking in on everyone.
Last weekend I hosted my birthday dinner at Kush Modern Mediterranean, and everything about it was wonderful. As we were a party of 11 people coming in to dine at a smaller intimate space, I gave them the courtesy of a headcount over a week in advance as well as clear instructions on dietary needs as one guest was vegan and one was gluten free and dairy free. Kush is a special treat in Somerville and I can't wait to return after our spectacular meal. The standouts: sweet potato croquettes melt in your mouth! The lamb ribs and harissa braised beef were cooked to perfection (and halal). The tomato fennel cod was a flavorful and unique dish. This place is a cozy gem. The service and decor was excellent, and the food was truly something special. The appetizers were outstanding. Do not sleep on the Halloumi crunch salad! The desserts were BEYOND. Order them all. Thank you Chefs Saba and Sara!
Saba, Sarah, and their entire team hit it out of the park! Fabulous Mediterranean food (coming from an Armenian who LOVES food) that is imaginative, yet simple, and all made with great ingredients. The service is equally impressive and attentive. The restaurant itself is small and cozy and Saba will come sit and share her thoughts and philosophy on cooking. A must stop in the Boston food scene!
