In the middle of a road trip from Eugene to Reno on the morning of the 23rd of December, my thermostat needed to be replaced. Fairly routine and easily within my skill set. However the bolts heads holding the assembly snapped, leaving the barrel threaded into the housing with no way to complete the job.
