I used to come here all the time when I was younger. I decided to come back after a few years. Walked in and it reeked of fish. Should have known from that alone the food was going to be bad. Got 2 waters and 10 plates of nigiri shared between 2 people(2 pieces of sushi each plate) and ordered crappy veggie tempura. Total came to $50. What a rip off. The food was nasty and not fresh and the sizes are so small. Overpriced and overrated and didn’t fill us up at all. Never coming back.
It was good! First time I've ever had わらび餅. The seat we were at didn't have a properly functioning menu though, and they didn't move us even though there were open tables, so a few things were a little harder. Still, food was great. Not as huge of a menu as some other places in Chicago proper but definitely not bad for the dishes they had.
Kura is my go to place when it comes to getting sushi fast. The salmon was good also the dessert is phenomenal.
