I found Dr. Shah very compassionate and professional. He had an innate shyness that I really liked, too. His PA was the front for the big smiles would and cheerlead for him. She did his closing stitches and they were beautiful! He was very straightforward about the surgery and I liked his honesty in answering my many questions. My surgery went smoothly. I had pretty heavy pain meds in the hospital for 3 nights, but once I was released those heavy meds were never necessary. In fact, I came home pain free!

I had a discectomy at L-1 and a fusion at L-5 to S-1 in 2022. Everything went a planned. Was back to work in six months, no follow up issues. Wish I’d had it done 15 years earlier!

Dr Shah did back surgery on my lower back turns out i needed a hip surgery not a back surgery ,left me in pain every day of my life for the last 8 years , now shopping for a wheel chair. Good luck to you if you use this so called doctor .

In 2022 I went back to see this doc because my former surgeon had moved on. I could never get a return phone call until I called to speak to the office manager. Even then, I did not get help. I was bedwetting a year after a laminectomy but literally NO ONE called me back! Fortunately, I found help with the VA neurosurgeon consultant, but I was terrified about my pain and other health issues related to my spine. A few months before, I had seen him about a fusion.
