Not accepting new patients, would have been nice to know 2 months ago when they let me make a new patient appointment and not IU Health cancelling it 3 days before said scheduled appointment. Now I'm 4 months out from a different doctor's new patient appointment. Also why are you saying Dr. Kumar is accepting new patients when she's not?
I came in for an appointment for my disabled mother. Dr. Kumar was extremely dismissive of my questions, accused me of being argumentative for asking questions, and told her she can find a new doctor if we aren’t satisfied with her service. After every question I asked she asked if that’s all and began standing up to leave the room. I asked her to please be empathetic to my mom’s condition and my concern for her, and her response was that she can only refer my mom to more doctors for tests. My mom is elderly and has a list of mental health, and physical health ailments. Dr. Kumar is one of the kindest and most caring and thorough doctors I have met in my 38 years of life. She truly cares about my mom, and she’s compassionate to me as well, as I’m trying to figure out how to do my best for my mother. I’m so thankful for her.
An exception to the rule of doctors. Her attention to detail and ability to listen is so refreshing. Working toward optimal health is important, she makes it very easy.
