I visited the ER at Mercy Medical Center last night due to excruciating neck pain. The intake nurse, technicians, and room nurse were all wonderful—kind, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was quite the opposite. He barely examined me, spending no more than 20 seconds assessing my condition, and seemed irritated when I declined an OxyContin injection in favor of Motrin.
