Best NYC yoga studio & I've tried them all! – As a teacher & 5-7 day a week yoga practicer, I believe Kula has the top teachers in NYC including Schuyler (studio director), Nikki V (she opened the Kula Brooklyn studio) and Raghunath (he also teaches at Pure & a couple of other places). I've been to YogaWorks, Pure, Jivamukti, Laughing Lotus, and other studios. They all have perks and downfalls but overall, Kula would be my top pick. Creative flows, great teachers (with hands-on adjustments), workshops to increase your knowle... read more
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE – Hi Everyone, I want to start off by saying that I wondered why they have such great reviews and then realized they are from 7 years ago! Yoga is something that I respect and has become part of my life for 8 years now. With that being said please please please DO NOT GO HERE!!! The instructors don't seem to have a clue of what they are doing, the place is dirty I showed up to class about 15 minutes early I went into the bathroom and opted to hold it through the entire class instead. Which was a hu... read more
Lots of Personal Attention! – Kind, gentle, challenging and intuitive instructors. I have never had so many adjustments in my life! LOVE this place!
I Love the Kula! – I have been going to this studio since it first opened. While they have experienced some changes and some growth, they have never lost the family feel. You will be given personal attention even in a full class, and if you come often enough your practice will blossom under their non-judgmental instruction and care. I've taken classes with several of the teachers there, and have never been disappointed. There is variety in their schedule, workshops to attend, and once in a while a fun event like the "clothin... read more
Great Friendly Studio in NYC – As is my hobby, I like to drop into Yoga studios when I travel. One of my great experiences was the Kula Yoga Project. I felt welcomed and Cate went out of her way to introduce herself, ask questions about me and my Yoga experience. She was a great teacher and will go out of my way to visit this fine Yoga studio the next time I am in NYC.
Four flights up is a room with a view, but the staff would rather you looked at your own interior. – The Scene Most studios equate stark designs with zen-like simplicity. Don't be fooled. When a small, renegade enterprise like Kula Yoga can fashion enchanting surroundings from numerous, artful components (like a mandala ceiling mural or woven mats underfoot), so can its better-known competitors. This can-do, will-do ethic incites many a youthful tread up rickety stairs in a section of town where yoga is less ubiquitous than ... read more
Kula Yoga is EXCELLENT!!! The classes are challenging, motivating, and it's all done in a safe environment. The teachers know a lot about anatomy and really help you deepen your practice. And for new students-it's a helpful and nurturing environment! AND...it's relatively inexpensive for yoga!
Kula Rocks – Kula is hands-down the best yoga studio I've been to. Excellent, challenging, interesting classes; warm, no-attitude atmosphere.
Exactly what TriBeCa needs. – A beautiful, down to earth setting to practice for yoga beginners and old-pros alike. My favorite in NYC by far!
Kula Yoga Project has a 4.6 star rating with 37 reviews.
Kula Yoga Project is closed now. It will open on Friday at 9:15 a.m.
