You cannot miss this truly one-of-a-kind experience! This is the #1 highlight of our trip and helped us appreciate the island so much more. I happened to find Kula Kai Caverns while browsing Google Maps for things to do near our accommodations and I am SO happy that I did! We did the Lighted Trail Tour and our guide was so experienced and fun. The mosquitos were a bit on the heavy side since it had rained recently, but they offered us bug spray. The cave itself was beautiful and 100% worth seeing - especially if your only frame of reference is the Thurston Lava Tube in Volcanoes National Park.
