Great food, and great experience. If you are out in St. Pete, you have to come try the Cuban sandwich here. No disappointment.
Sadly, Kuba En La Playa was permanently closed when I attempted to eat there. There were no signs that this highly recommended Cuban restaurant was no longer in business. I found out that Kuba En La Playa was permanently closed from employees of another business. Unfortunately for me, I was really looking forward to the Cuban sandwich and guava tres leches. In 2021, the owner Felicia Lacalle purchased space for a Kuba Cocina restaurant in 2021, but I haven't seen any updates.
I had the Kubano and it may have been the best I have ever had... The bread, pork, and all the rest were perfect... Highly recommend this small gem in St. Pete's Beach.
Absolutely amazing sandwiches and drinks. I enjoyed the cafe con leche and a Black Bean Croquetas with tostones. Felicia (Owner / Exec. Chef) was super nice! Great spot to stop if you are in St. Pete! The restaurant is also located in a building with other neat businesses.
