I wasn’t informed until this year that my 2022 taxes never got filed even though what I owed to federal got withdrawn from my bank account. I requested my forms to file this years taxes (2023) through someone else and I never got a phone call so then I emailed and it took several days for a reply that way too. We turned our forms in at the end of March last year-because theu would not accept any returns after march 31st, didnt hear anything until may, said we needed to pay $400 "to the city". Turns out she charged US for the extension SHE filed. She even wrote on our check. And then we didn't hear back until August. Finally got part of our return. They make very clear to not call and ask about your return or they will send you back all your forms. We were terrified to call but after so many months, it was ridiculous. We went to an... read more
