Kristin is a wonderful Doctor. I’m so very thankful to have her on my care team.
Dr. K is a very capable scientist but lacks people skills. Her rack and stack approach to patient management made it abundantly clear that she doesn’t see patients as people rather as disease. She does not provide full diagnostic disclosure. She does not practice collaborative medicine with medical oncology (chemo). She went so far as to suggest I would be dead in two years. Dr Kowalchik always made me feel that my treatment and health was important to her which inspired my confidence in her. She took the time to answer my questions. Everyone I encountered in her office was friendly and smiling every day.
I consulted with Dr. Kowalchik in 2023 after lumpectomy with bilateral reduction and reconstruction was completed as part of my treatment and recovery from Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Stage 2, ER+ PR+ HER2-. I am giving only 1 star because she and the staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help the patients HOWEVER I found Dr. Kowalchik completely unwilling or unable to understand my underlying medical conditions including a biotoxin illness from a toxic mold exposure.
