Karl is an excellent barber who finds a way to make his customers feel warm and welcome upon arrival. Even if he’s too busy like this past weekend when I neglected to see that the operation hours updated he was honest and upfront about his availability while having a full waiting area 30 minutes before closing. Understanding his clearly visible situation me and my kids choose to wait tell today when he had the time and of course did a stand up job… thanks again Karl your a true asset to the community!
If you're looking for a place to get a haircut, KP's in downtown Madison is second to none- small town atmosphere with big time service. Karl isn't just a standout barber, he's a solid dude with a personable and empathetic attitude behind the clippers. Five stars is an understatement in my books.
I've gotten my cut here a couple of times. He does a good job. I have however stopped by his shop on multiple occasions to be greeted by a "Will be back" sign, or on an occasion like today, a locked door and being told he closes at noon. It was 10 minutes to noon my guy.
Its been a few years, but a recent conversation with my current stylist brought up awful memories of the worst cut Ive ever had, by Karl. First, I have a full head of hair, this guy gave me a literal combover. Not only that, he buzzed my widows peak off. Lesson learned. I'll let women cut my hair from now on. Cottage cuts is where it's at fellas.
Nice find in Madison. I used to drive to Brookings or Sioux Falls for haircuts. JP’s have me a great haircut and it’s my go-to haircut place now
