Today. Sept. 29, 2025 Duke’s Dr Kourtney Houser canceled my Oct 8 eye appointment by having a assistant send me a message on my chart saying she no longer saw patient’s with dry eyes or for exams. Now I can only wait for 6 months to see another Duke Dr who may cancel at the last minute. She also is the Dr who recommended I get a close up lens in my right eye. That ruined my vision added to the normal distance lens I got in my left eye after cataract surgery with her predecessor at Duke. Her predecessor left Duke to start her... read more
Dr. Houser did my first cornea transplant on 1/24/25. Very satisfied so far with results. She is wonderful and compassionate. Biggest thing to remember is results are not instantaneous!
Awesome! Had cataract surgery and my vision is now 20/20.
