Koryo Sushi – Been going here for years. Great sushi, very fresh, good, fast service. Place fills up so it can sometimes take a while to get a seat. The neighborhood is fine for walking around in while you're waiting. They're open until 2 or 2:30 am - what's not to like. I recommend it to anyone who really likes sushi. Oh, the 49er roll is great.

HORRIBLE! – I use to work here an quickly quit because there were so many things wrong with the way they would run things. For the first month they only tip you $5 then it goes up for $20 until they feel like you are ready. When you are ready since you haven't been there longer than the other servers they double the $20 and you get $40 when everyone elses gets a larger cut. Koryo, Drunken Fish, and Miyozen Japanese Restaurant are a delicious and consistent choice in the East Bay Area – Koryo is open late! Probably the latest in the east bay. Menus at all three locations offer familiar items as well as unique items at each of the restaurants. Miyozen just opened this fall (2006) in Emeryville and is a welcome addition to the area. best sushi in berkeley/oakland – not only is the sushi great but the restaurant is open late nite too. i believe they are open until 2am!
Great Sushi – Been going to Koryo for years and its always great! Definelty worth the 50 minute travel time from SJ! Try the Sashimi Salad, and spicey mussels, dynomite roll, and after those, make sure to try everything else!
Great sushi, great prices, open late! – I almost hate telling people about Koryo because I don't want it to be over run by customers. It is open til 1:30 am most nights and has great service, food and prices. The rolls are huge and everything is made quickly. A great place to eat anytime, but especially when only jack in the box, ?denny's or some other lame fastfood place is open.
BEST IN THE BAY – Their sushi is FRESH, VERY VERY GOOD, and very CHEAP. It's a little restaurant in Oakland where people actually WAIT (on busy weekends) up to 45 mins to be seated. But there's a reason why... for starters, I suggest their California Rolls and Spider Rolls. After you try them, tell me what you think! Let's just say, I don't ever really go to other places for sushi anymore!
Good Late Nite Sushi – Late night sushi may be an oxymoron, but if that's what you crave than this is the place for you. We found that some dishes lacked quality, but made up for it in quantity (salmon sashimi dinner). TRY THIS: dynamite & 49er roll. THINK ABOUT THIS: Salmon sashimi AVOID THIS: Crunch Roll .... *gag!*
