I have been reluctant to review KORU because I did not want too many people to catch on and change this ideal fitness experience by overcrowding the space. I can say now that the owner and training staff do an exceptional job in making each experience and class attentive, stressless and enriching. I have taken private sessions from Colin K. and he is instructive and knowledgeable. I have some experience with fitness and he easily builds on that. This gym tries way too hard to come across as exclusive and high-end, but it completely misses the mark. The atmosphere feels pretentious and unwelcoming, like they care more about image than actually providing a supportive place for people to work out. It’s uncomfortable, cliquey, and honestly not worth the time or price. The biggest issue, though, is Anna the “fitness instructors”. I love it at Koru. An always welcoming environment with teachers that ooze passion for wellness.
I’ve been coming for massage therapy with Helena and I can’t recommend her enough! I’ve been to countless massage therapists over the years and she’s definitely one of the best. Highly recommend especially if you have migraines or tmj— but she’s fantastic for traditional bodywork and deep tissue as well!
