I used to live in the Bay Area and I would go to Korean Superette when I’m in Berkeley. I came back 2 years later and the taste still remains amazing. The soup dishes are incredibly rich and flavorful- the spice doesn’t overwhelm the flavor and it melts in your mouth. It tastes like a mother’s love and care cooking. Amazing atmosphere especially on rainy days and warm summer evenings. Highly recommend.
Delicious food and good service. The back patio is calm and if you go in the middle of the day, you have the place to yourself.
The food is horribly inauthentic, it’s not a real Korean food! Avoid if you are looking for authentic Korean cuisine. Kimchi is just cabbages mixed with vinegar and sugar, not fermented at all. Soups were basically MSG salt water 😭 Rice was yellowed and stale probably sat in the pot for hours. what’s annoying is that the restaurant itself is beautiful and authenticity designed to misguide people. Their food is all looks, no flavor.
