Rented a old beat up pontoon. They basically blamed us for previous damage to keep 100. security deposit .
Owners are crooks and rent junk boats to people at a premium then blame the damage on the unsuspecting renters and charge their card, stay anywhere else rent anywhere else. These people are leeches and far from a good family owned friendly business
I see the past 2 reviews and I do NOT understand them. This week 2/3/12 we had a horrible snowstorm in Northern Michigan. I live in Roscommon and lost my power for 3 days. Due to a LARGE number of power outages, hotel/motels accepting guests were few and far between. I came across this establishment and called and not only did they have a vacancy for me but were so beyond kind to me about the last notice reservation. Do NOT stay here. I reserved a room 1/18/12 for Jan 26th-29th. I called back 1/23/12 to tell Linda I may need to cancel due to wife's grandfather's illness. He then dies, I call back later that day on the 23rd to tell her. She tells me to get a death certificate and she'll discuss the circumstances with her husband about a refund. I then call back tuesday twice as she him-hawes around. We take grandpa to West Virginia for burial. Drive down the 26th bury him the 27th. Let me see where to start, first myself and a few friends took a vacation to Houghton Lake and found this motel. I should have known after reviewing there website that looks like it was set up by a middle school student. We were charged $95 dollars a night for a 2 queen bed room. We purchased 2 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms smelt horrible. It was a combination of musk and mold. We even went a bought our own air fresheners for the rooms.
