I am lucky enough to visit Koonjewarre - Springbrook every year with my year 11 and 12 high school kids for school camp. Located a few 100 meters to one of the most beautiful walking/hiking track you'll ever walk. Walking behind waterfall, views of mountains and natural rock and waterfalls every step of the way, one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.

My wife, 3 young kids and I all stayed here for 3 nights in October 2021. Was part of a church group of about 50+ people. Overall, it’s a very dated, run down, and an unhygienic camp site. Black mould was seen on the ceilings in our room, and the bedding and walls were filthy dirty. Very questionable sanitation in our bathroom, likewise in the communal kitchen eg when I went to grab a late night snack, I noticed a pile of shaved ham on the floor from lunchtime after the staff ‘cleaned’ the kitchen. Oh my goodness… I could not imagine how anyone could give a bad review about this amazing place! If you are after 5 star luxury then this venue is not for you.. But, if you are after going back to the days when luxury was waking up and exploring the countryside, no makeup, great simple but awesome food, lazy places to read, feet up and remembering to listen to the sounds of nature… THIS is the place!
