If you want opulence head elsewhere ... this is truly a motel where you feel you're staying with a friend. Functional, clean rooms, quiet, and nothing too much trouble for your host. A gem ... and very reasonable rates.

Elaine is such a lovely host - accommodating and non obtrusive -engaging and happy to help - room is clean and tidy and the beds are comfy
I was visiting Ravenshoe for work and the Kool Moon motel was the provided accommodation. I stayed in both the motel and the house that they have available. The rooms/house were clean, the beds were comfortable. Elaine was lovely, she would leave little notes, make the beds (you can request this to not be done) and leave water bottles in the fridge.
