Run a fast as you can. Currently in a development that Konter is building and we have no say even paying HOA Fees. The community area, pool and playground are a joke. The pool is the size of a toddler pool not one for a big development. Same with the playground equipment. Building super is a joke he sits in the model home all day and is the most unhelpful person you will meet. Doesn't know how to do his job and certainly doesn't check his contractor's work.
While, thankfully, I did not build my home with Konter Homes - I have had the displeasure of attempting to deal with them today. A new neighborhood phase is being developed, starting on the lot next to mine. Contractors hired by Konter Homes, “Preferred Site Construction,” did not appropriately read the marking of utilities. They definitely need to get the quality part OUT of their business name because not only they lack quality. They are unprofessional, dishonest, do a sloppy job then take no responsibility for anything they done wrong! For instance; weep holes were coded in 2012. They Failed to add them and was “missed” by the inspectors!!! Go figures! Purchasing a home from Konter has been the worst experience and disappointment ever!!!
The best advice I can give anyone looking to buy a home would be to stay as FAR as possible from anything built by or governed by Konter. Not only is our 5 year old home already falling apart, and little by little revealing just how poor the build quality is, they are basically running the Highlands HOA with no regard for what the actual residents want since they hold one vote per lot that they own (even though they don’t pay HOA fees for the lord they own) Feel free to message me for any additional info, or come see my hous... read more
