I should’ve trusted my instincts the moment the OBGYN who referred me to this doctor described him as her “good friend.” From the moment I arrived at his office, I felt the sting of racial profiling. The environment was cold and unwelcoming, and the doctor himself was dismissive, condescending, and completely lacking in empathy. Amazing doctor! I had a very large (17cm) ovarian cyst and he removed it via laparoscopy. I was feeling good the same day. Minimal pain/uncomfort.

I discovered I had a 12cm endometrial cyst and Endometriosis and was referred to Dr. Zakashansky from my OBGYN. I can not express how much of amazing surgery experience it was. Doctor Zakashansky was very thorough in explaining my current situation and how to surgery would go. Surgery went very well and recovery was faster than I thought it would be and had no complications. He even took the time to call my the day after the surgery on a Saturday to check in on me. Also need to honorably mention his team as well for being th... read more
