Dave Konstantin has been our lighting expert through 2 renovations now. His expertise and judgement are impeccable. He knows exactly what we need and we value his opinion, usually over our architect’s. Dave understands the complexity of lighting in so many applications. The best style of light in a cove ceiling, the added recessed fixtures, wall washers for art display, and which illumination is the most pleasing and flattering. Dave has advised us on lighting for a number of remodeling projects -- and is currently working with us on another project that includes outdoor lighting. He always listens to what we want and how we intend to use the space, and then offers suggestions that not only meet our needs but are aesthetically enhancing -- in short, suggestions that we never could have come up with ourselves. Dave saw my circa-1950s ranch house with its circa-1970s lighting and created a design that significantly improved the appearance of the whole house. The energy-efficient bulbs and fixtures save money, and the Lutron system Dave recommended allows me to control the lights remotely, and program them to go on and off when I'm away. Dave's go-to electrician was terrific to work with, and quite reasonable. Dave guided me through the process of choosing fixtures at Dominion Electric, and got me great prices. If you want the industry standard lighting for your residence and nothing more, Dave's your man. He can show you one style, one way, one perspective. If you want high-end consultation and options, and decor, go elsewhere. If things go wrong working with Dave, you will find him unethical, irresponsible, and unprofessional.
