I "inherited" Kone from the former owner of my building. I've paid my $3000 a year for what was supposed to be a comprehensive maintenance AND repair contract. Last two visits, which consisted of a tech coming out for about 15 minutes, resulted in $2000 bills for each visit. Kone is not willing to credit these and will only discount one for $400 if I have them repair voltage surge damage to my elevator that occurred a few weeks ago. Kone started out great with our service tech (tank? I think). They tried to charge more than necessary for visits and refused to work around it and lied to landlord of the property for costs (we have the emails from both landlord and Kone, both different). They then sent technicians into our property after we said they were not permitted -multiple times - and sent us bills instead of us having a chance to work things out.
