We loved our tour! Kona isn't really known as a food town, but we really enjoyed all of the diverse local dishes. The tour is very approachable and not pretentious, visiting mainly beachside establishments. It also includes more fun cocktail and drink samplers than other food tours I have been on. We walked around a mile with about 7 stops including everything from snacks to drinks to dessert. Our guide, Kai, was super knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information along the way.
We decided to book this on our first day here to get a feel for a few places we might want to visit and it exceeded our expectations! Even though we aren't huge seafood people, we were pleasantly surprised with all the options and it was good to try things we might not otherwise! Kai and Kama were a huge part of our amazing experience! They were informative and entertaining!! I HIGHLY recommend!!
This is a MUST DO when in Kona! Kai and Kamakea were absolutely incredible guides. Aside from being able to experience delicious and authentic food/drinks at really cool spots (that we probably would have never known about on our own), we learned so much about the history and culture of Kona in a fun and casual way. This is truly the best way to see the city with an awesome group of people. Can't recommend it highly enough!
Super fun tour! All the food we tried was great - even things I don't normally like to eat, like clam chowder and fish n chips, were shockingly good. My sister and I even brought the rest of our family back to one place for lunch and they said it was one of the best meals of the trip. Plus we learned a lot and got to know the area a bit. Also, Kama is an actual queen and we love her. 10/10 would do again.
